Eiropas Pilsētu finansēšanas mehānisms (EUCF) ir iniciatīva Eiropas pašvaldībām atbalsta sniegšanai investīcijām ilgtspējīgā enerģētikā. EUCF ietvaros pašvaldībām ir iespēja pieteikties grantam 60 tūkst. EUR apmērā, lai saņemtu atbalstu dažāda veida dokumentācijas izstrādei un konsultācijām investīciju projektiem klimata mazināšanai. Šīm aktivitātēm ir jābūt saskaņā arī ar pašvaldības Ilgtspējīgas enerģētikas rīcības plānu vai pēc būtības līdzvērtīgu plānu vides, klimata un enerģētikas jomā.
UBC Sustainable Cities Commission meeting online 19 October 2021
The Commission meeting of the UBC SCC will take place online on 19 October 2021 at 11.00 – 13.00 CEST / 12.00-14.00 EEST.
The meeting will discuss matters related to the Commission's past activities and planned actions as well as structure of the new Advisory Board and appoint a new Head of Secretariat. SCC Secretariat will also present the latest draft of the UBC Sustainability Action Programme 2022 – 2030.

12th EUSBSR Annual Forum
The Annual Forum of the Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region is the largest event of the Strategy. It brings together all the stakeholders implementing the EUSBSR as well as other participants who would like to contribute to managing the common challenges the Baltic Sea Region faces. The 12th Annual Forum will take place from 27 September to 1 October. It will focus on green recovery and will invite the participants to REVITALISE the Strategy, to RECOVER after COVID-19 together and to RECHARGE for greener and more resilient Baltic Sea Region.

Learn about smart development of the urban water sector – from experiences of the forerunner in this field City of Gdańsk!
In June this year, the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission, together with Gdańsk University of Technology, will open up a discussion on "Accelerating the transition to clean and healthy Baltic Sea". Warm welcome to the water sector-focused two-days online conference on 9–10 June 2021!
The conference is organized by the BSR WATER platform, co-hosting the final conference of the Revivng Baltic Resilience project (led by Gdańsk University of Technology).
How to make cities more resilient? Results and recommendations from the CASCADE project
The CASCADE (Community Safety Action for Supporting Climate Adaptation and Development) project brought together civil protection professionals and climate change adaptation experts to build urban resilience and to improve the capacity to understand, assess, and treat current and future climate change related risks on the local level, focusing on the particular in Baltic Sea Region conditions.
Among the partners of the CASCADE project, there are three UBC member cities (Hamburg, Liepaja and Turku) and the Safe Cities Commission and the Sustainable Cities Commission.
