European Mobility Week 2023
European Mobility Week is a campaign that promotes behavioral change to increase sustainable urban mobility. More towns and cities join the campaign every year to take part in spreading the word on social media for a more sustainable and inclusive urban future.
The annual European Mobility Week is held this year on 16-22 of September 2023. The European Commission's campaign brings awareness to sustainable urban mobility promoting active mobility, public transport and other more sustainable transport solutions. This year over 2700 towns and cities are involved from 43 different countries - including Europe and beyond! This year's topic "How will you Save Energy?" incourages people to find new ways and solutions together to be more energy efficient.
During the week cities organize various events and awareness raising activities. Many cities also implement permanent measures like improving bicycle facilities, emphasizing pedestrians, calming traffic and taking accessability into account. In implementing new measures actively, cities and municipalities are in the core.
