CDP, the global climate change disclosure non-profit, and the Union of the Baltic Cities (UBC), have agreed on a two-year Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) to involve more cities in the development and reporting of target-oriented climate actions. The findings are now published in a in a final report Climate Leadership from Baltic Sea Region Cities!

Commission activities for the autumn 2017

After a restful summer, we are all back in the office and back in action. During this autumn, water will be an important topic for our Commission through many project activities, meetings and conferences where we will be represented as well as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how we are promoting and implementing them on the local municipal level. Urban planning and brownfield related issues are also in our agenda for this autumn.

The IWAMA project organized two large events during June 2017. The workshop focusing on raising the capacity of WWT operators and a seminar held during the EUSBSR Forum are useful for disseminating the information about IWAMA, sharing its materials, and enabling the exchange of knowledge in the region.
