The constant depletion of natural resources, population growth and climate change will force societies around the world to embrace change. Sustainable lifestyles, energy efficiency and the re-cycling of materials from different products back into raw materials will reduce both costs and the burden on the environment. Local food, solar panels, smart transport, new services and future directions for cities - resource wisdom encompasses all of these.

Urban planners from Sweden, Latvia, Finland and Estonia gathered to share experiences and create more sustainable and inclusive planning processes for brownfield regeneration. Cities of Riga, Turku, Norrköping and Tallinn presented their progress, challenges and best practices during the project meeting 1-3 March 2017.

iWater - Integrated Storm Water Management project (2015 – 2018) has been granted for the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region´s HA Climate Flagship Status. The flagship status is a recognition for the iWater´s work for transnational cooperation within urban planning and integrated storm water management.

IWAMA Workshop was held in Boltenhagen, Germany on 14–15 February 2017.
