Events related to topic water

The event "Samverkan och möjligheter för framtida vatten- och slamhantering: fokus på IWAMA projekt" is a part of the national dissemination events of the IWAMA project: this event takes place in Kalmar, Sweden, on 10 April 2019. The event is in Swedish, and it will bring up not only the local expertise and examples of smart water and sludge management, but also good practices from the IWAMA project.  

XX Anniversary International Environmental Forum Baltic Sea Day is organized in St. Petersburg, Russia, on 21–22 March 2019.

The Regional Water Day, or Varsinais-Suomen vesipäivä takes place on 19 March 2019 in Turku, Finland. This event is organized in cooperation with the IWAMA project on improving smart wastewater management in the Baltic Sea Region.

The workshop "IWAMA Nationaler Workshop – Energie- und Schlammoptimierung" is organized in Rostock, Germany, on 28 February 2019. Join the event to learn results and get the access to the outputs of the IWAMA project in German language!

The Final Conference of the IWAMA project is organized in the city of Turku, Finland, on 30–31 January 2019. The event is hosted by the City of Turku and the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission.

Welcome to the Ocean Literacy in Coastal Cities Conference 6-7 December 2018 in Malmö. The aim is to inspire, learn, debate and drive action at a local level for the marine environment with focus on ocean literacy in coastal cities. Meet representatives from UNESCO in Venice, OCEAN SCHOOL in Canada, the Swedish Government and many more to take part in the important discussions on Ocean Literacy.

The webinar will focus specifically on the tools that have been developed for urban planners in the Baltic Sea Region and beyond by two cross-border cooperation projects – iWater and Baltic Urban Lab. Join the webinar to learn how these tools can be put into action in your City.

The iWater project Final Conference will be held on 7-8 May 2018 in Riga, Latvia. The conference will focus on main results and achievements of the project: stormwater planning tools developed and adopted by partner cities; sustainable stormwater solutions and pilot sites demonstrations; Integrated Stormwater Management Strategies and Guidelines; Green Area Factor Tool adapted for stormwater management planning.

The XIX International Environmental Forum "Baltic Sea Day" is organized on 22–23 March 2018 in St. Petersburg, Russia, to bring up global and regional environmental matters.

Three workshops are organized in the Baltic Sea Region cities to present the methodologies for climate change adaptation.

On 23–24 October 2017, IWAMA will organize the large event aimed at water-related experts: the Water Forum taking place in Växjö, Sweden. This Forum will bring together IWAMA partners and cooperating stakeholders, representatives of the member cities of the Union of the Baltic Cities, and all interested guests, to discuss smart water management.

NORDIWA, the Nordic Waste Water Conference is organized in Aarhus, Denmark on 10–12 October 2017. The Conference is the leading Nordic event for water professionals – experts and practitioners, managers and operators: utility staff, city planners, researchers, engineers, advisors and others with an interest in wastewater management and climate change adaptation in the Nordic region. Special focus this year is on wastewater management in the Baltic Sea Region.
