This conference will focus on strengthening the role of cities in the EU, ensuring their priorities influence policy and funding decisions. Together with Copenhagen Malmö Port (CMP), World Maritime University (WMU), and Union of the Baltic Cities (UBC) - the City of Malmö is hosting a pivotal conference on Future-proofing Our Port Cities, taking place 30 September – 1 October 2025. The conference brings together decision-makers, representatives from business, academia and the public sector from across Europe to jointly discuss future strategies for Europe's coastal and port cities in light of climate change.

The UBC TALKS webinar about Urban Biodiversity Parks on 27 May 2025 at 9.30–11.00 CEST / 10.30–12.00 EEST will focus on urban biodiversity parks as a tool for urban ecological restoration and regeneration. The concept will be piloted by the City of Turku within Urban Biodiversity Parks project funded by European Urban Initiative (EUI). Furthermore, experts from UBC cities Malmö and Riga share experiences on their local policies and practices to bring nature back to the city and actively increase urban biodiversity.

The highly anticipated Urban Future 2025 (UF25) is set to take place in Łódź, Poland, from May 21-23, 2025, bringing together over 2,000 urbanists, city leaders, and change-makers from around the world. With an inspiring lineup of 250 speakers, 100 partners, and 150 mayors and city representatives, UF25 promises to be the most engaging and solution-driven event in the urban innovation space.
