The first session of the cities.multimodal webinar series is dedicated to the Living Street concept, its adaption and implementation in the Baltic Sea Region context.

This year's midterm conference of HUPMOBILE was supposed to be held in Hamburg. However, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, we cannot organize it as a face-to-face conference. Instead, we are organizing two short virtual events on different days discussing the future of mobility in the Baltic Sea Region cities. During these two days, we will focus on the concept of Fusion Mobility and whether COVID-19 has an impact on the development of sustainable mobility. Both webinars are open for everyone and free of charge.

The concept of Mobility as a Service, MaaS, claims to offer a personal mobility package based on lifestyle needs and delivered through a single interface and subscription. The CIVITAS SATELLITE initiative brings you in this webinar examples of CIVITAS cities that have seen an opportunity on this trend and have worked on its implementation within their projects. ECCENTRIC partners have developed the MaaS readiness indicators to ensure that all possible aspects of the current situation are taken into consideration before the local environment is ready for MaaS.

Over the past four years, the three CIVITAS Living Lab projects – CIVITAS DESTINATIONS, CIVITAS ECCENTRIC and CIVITAS PORTIS – have been testing and demonstrating innovative mobility solutions. As the projects draw to a close, join their final conference online from 6-20 October 2020 to discover the exciting results of their work. The event will showcase 175 sustainable urban mobility measures implemented in 16 European cities, with a particular focus on:

The conference combines two leading events from Europe’s transport calendar: the CIVITAS Forum Conference and the European Conference on Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). It will allow policymakers, local authorities, academics, NGOs, urban transport practitioners, urban planners and all those putting the SUMP concept into practice to share their experiences using a virtual forum. 

The Baltic Sea Region Mobility Summit 2020 is a three day mobility conference taking place 8-10 September online! During these three days highlights from the projects cities.multimodal, SUMBA and BSR electric will be presented along with virtual tours of project results, intriguing discussions about what the future holds for sustainable urban mobility in our region and much more. This CIVITAS ECCENTRIC webinar brings you two experiences from different cities who have rolled out sustainable urban mobility projects that target the elderly and youth, that bring generations together, and that promote self-determined mobility and sustainability.
