Putting plans into practice

The 13th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region will take place on 28–29 September 2022 in Lappeenranta, Finland.

The Annual Forum of the Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region is the largest event of the Strategy. It brings together all the stakeholders implementing the EUSBSR as well as other participants who would like to contribute to managing the common challenges the Baltic Sea Region faces.

The programme of the Forum will include plenaries, a set of parallel sessions focusing on the key aspects of the macroregional cooperation, and will extend into the side programme before and after the Forum. The EUSBSR Forum includes a rich variety of the topics, many related to the environmental and climate aspects. A.o., the sessions will address citizen involvement in urban development, transformative methods for enhancing marine ecosystems, youth involvement in building resilient societies, improving nutrient management in biogas production, and much more. UBC SCC will participate in the Forum and share experiences of multilevel regional cooperation at the session "Contribution of EUSBSR cities and regions to combating climate change" (28 September 16.00–17.30).
