Baltic Urban Lab project will be organizing two internal meetings back-to-back on 13-15 February 2018 in Turku.

On 5 December 2017 at 10:00 CET, UBC Sustainable Cities Commission is hosting a webinar open to all UBC cities to share information about sustainable mobility.

How do we create stronger linkages between the urban and the rural parts of our regions? How can smaller cities take the lead within sustainable development? What makes them attractive? How can cities in the Nordic countries benefit from Nordic collaboration and export promotion? Nordregio Forum 2017 will further examine these questions from the perspective of small and medium-sized Nordic cities.

Three workshops are organized in the Baltic Sea Region cities to present the methodologies for climate change adaptation.

XIV UBC General Conference on 24 - 27 October 2017 in Växjö

On 23–24 October 2017, IWAMA will organize the large event aimed at water-related experts: the Water Forum taking place in Växjö, Sweden. This Forum will bring together IWAMA partners and cooperating stakeholders, representatives of the member cities of the Union of the Baltic Cities, and all interested guests, to discuss smart water management.

NORDIWA, the Nordic Waste Water Conference is organized in Aarhus, Denmark on 10–12 October 2017. The Conference is the leading Nordic event for water professionals – experts and practitioners, managers and operators: utility staff, city planners, researchers, engineers, advisors and others with an interest in wastewater management and climate change adaptation in the Nordic region. Special focus this year is on wastewater management in the Baltic Sea Region.

This year’s CIVITAS FORUM Conference will take place on 27-29 September 2017 in Torres Vedras, Portugal.

The third webinar's keynote speaker will be Elke Myrhede and her presentation will be about soil contamination in brownfield sites. The headline goes as "Soil contamination in brownfields - how does it concern planning?".

2017 China Europe Water Platform (CEWP) Annual High Level Dialogue will be held on 21-22 September 2017 in Turku, Finland.
