UBC Sustainable Cities Commission Secretariat in Turku is seeking a trainee for a duration of three months, starting in April 2019. The trainee will be working as a member of our international team and working with versatile and interesting tasks related to communication, event planning, networking activities and more. Working language at our office is English.

In the end of January 2019 the IWAMA project oriented at improving smart wastewater treatment in the Baltic Sea Region organized its Final Conference. The event took place in Turku, hosted by the city together with our Commission. The conference brought together more than 100 participants to discuss the wastewater sector and how to make it smart and efficient.

The cities.multimodal project looks back on a busy first year. The partner cities conducted a comprehensive preparatory analysis incl. interviews with stakeholders, collected statistical data on their pilot area and implemented a survey among their citizens in order to get to know the mobility situation and behavior in their cities. The outcomes are now published as fact sheets on our website– take a look!
