Latest news for selected city

Climate-4-CAST, launched in November 2023 and co-funded by the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme, is led by a consortium of 10 partners from Denmark, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Poland, and Sweden, with support from 14 Associated Organisations.

Organised in early October 2024, the project meeting of Climate-4-CAST created a great exchange opportunity for different climate budgeting practices from cities in the Baltic Sea Region.

Two new projects have begun in our Secretariat, where we look into achieving climate-neutrality: green mobility and climate budgeting process in the municipalities.

The 2023 CDP disclosure period has marked a continued commitment to environmental transparency within the Union of the Baltic Cities. 14 cities stepped forward to publicly disclose their environmental data.

EUCF wants to bridge the gap between cities, local authorities, and sustainable energy investments by providing targeted funding for turning overarching plans and strategies into investment concepts. In the first three calls six UBC cities have received the grant.

Over 1600 participants at the Urban Future conference in Helsingborg – UBC Sustainable Cities was happy to be part of the global event!

The fourth call for applications will be open from 9 June to 30 September 2022. More detailed information about the EUCF can be found on the initiative’s website.

Last week, the list of 100 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030 was announced, and 12 of them are members of the Union of the Baltic Cities!

The report of 2021 looks into another successful year of UBC-CDP cooperation, as we follow the paths of 21 UBC member cities to climate goals 2030.
