What is the role of local authorities on the large macroregional arena? And what can regional organisations do to support BSR cities on their paths to sustainability, regional cohesion, and climate neutrality? Let’s talk!

Union of the Baltic Cities is a cooperation partner known in the Baltic Sea Region for over 30 years. Through our work, we foster the development of the sustainable and green cities and bring the local level solutions and challenges into the regional dialogue. So, what is the role of local authorities on the large macroregional arena? And what can regional organisations do to support BSR cities on their paths to sustainability, regional cohesion, and climate neutrality? Let’s talk on 28 March 2023 at 9.30–11.00 CEST / 10.30–12.00 EEST!

During these 90 min, we will talk with three key actors in the Baltic Sea Region: Council of the Baltic Sea States, Helsinki Commission (HELCOM), and the Baltic Sea Strategy Point, to outline the specific roles as well as the common ground for the regional cooperation and highlight existing synergies.

As always, the UBC TALKS webinar is first and foremost for cities and about cities. Have you been wondering what other regional organisations in the Baltic Sea Region do on the local level? This is your chance to learn and ask! Register to the webinar and join us on 28 March.
