UBC TALKS about local activities contributing to the global sustainability
How to find your way in the forest of abbreviations leading to the sustainable living? The next UBC TALKS webinar will take place on 29 November, focusing on localising UN Sustainable Development Goals and preparing Voluntary Local Review reports.
Many UBC cities are international forerunners in working with the UN 2030 Agenda and reviewing the progress of localising Sustainable Development Goals through a Voluntary Local Review process. UBC encourages more of its member cities to join the global movement! The UBC TALKS in November 2022 provides support in this process, sharing methods and tools for benefiting from localising SDGs and exploring internal processes through VLR reports.
We will look into these questions with speakers from local and regional level, to bring both guidance and concrete examples.
Voluntary Local Reviews are highlighting the significant role played by cities as drivers for sustainable development. We can only make the transition to sustainability if we succeed in implementing the SDGs locally.
