EUSBSR Annual Forum 2026
Be part of the conversation on resilience in the Baltic Sea Region – we meet at the EUSBSR Annual Forum 2026 on 12–13 May 2026 in Tallinn!
Climate impacts, demographic change and growing security pressures are already affecting us and our communities. The tides are shifting, and so must we.
The Forum offers a timely space to exchange experience, align priorities and strengthen cooperation across borders on resilience – how to withstand disruption, adapt and continue to function well when challenges occur, and bounce back better.
At the Forum, you will come together with your peers who work on policy, projects and cooperation across the Baltic Sea Region to discuss how the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region can strengthen resilience. The Forum connects existing work and experience, with discussions aligned with the updated EUSBSR Action Plan and focused on practical steps.
The Day of Cities and Regions
On 11 May 2026, the Baltic Sea States Subregional Cooperation (BSSSC) will host the Day of Cities and Regions, themed “Co-Governing Resilience: Shaping Secure, Connected and Thriving Societies”, marking the start of three days of macro-regional cooperation on resilience in Tallinn.
Highlight from UBC SCC:
- 11 May at 14:15: UBC Sustainable Cities Commission will deliver an intervention on climate resilience needs and efforts based on the findings in the ClimaResponse project.
EUSBSR Annual Forum
On 12-13 May 2026, the Annual Forum itself will take place with plenaries and parallel sessions, and of course the traditional Networking village! Look for us at the UBC stand – we will be there on all 3 days of the event. You can also catch us during the parallel sessions on climate resilience and urban mobility.
Highlights from UBC SCC:
- 12 May at 11:15-12:45: Parallel session 6. When disaster strikes – who steps up? A real-time flood simulation with citizens and stakeholders. Interactive roleplaying exercise for local authorities prepared by resilience experts in the ClimaResponse project (our Secretariat leads its transfer activities).
- 12 May at 15:15-16:15: Parallel session 12. From plans to reality: governing urban mobility for resilience. Reality check from BSR urban notes examining political and governance conditions for SUMPs and integrated TEN-T objectives, presented by the BSR Urban Mobility platform and SUMPs for BSR project, led by our Secretariat.
See you in Tallinn!
