Climate budget training: Obtaining mandate and setting cooperation

Climate budget training module 2 banner

This is the Module 2 of the Climate budget training course organised by UBC Sustainable Cities Commission together with the experts within the Climate-4-CAST project. Welcome to join us!

This module introduces how cities can begin climate budgeting in ways that reflect their local mandate and context – while meeting key prerequisites for success. Participants explore how to lay strong foundations, build internal capacity and foster cross-departmental cooperation. Practical examples from cities illustrate how different sectors can contribute climate actions and how collaboration enables tailored yet effective climate budgeting approaches.

📌 If you missed an introduction to the climate budgeting, please check the recording and materials from the Module 1 webinar!

Welcome to the online training on 29 January 2026 at 10.00-12.30 EET:

Participation is free and we welcome all interested participants (especially from local, regional and national public authorities). Make sure to invite relevant colleagues!
