BSR WATER conference "Accelerating the transition to clean and healthy Baltic Sea"
Learn about smart development of the urban water sector – from experiences of the forerunner in this field City of Gdańsk!
In June this year, the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission, together with Gdańsk University of Technology, will open up a discussion on "Accelerating the transition to clean and healthy Baltic Sea". Warm welcome to the water sector-focused two-days online conference on 9–10 June 2021!
The conference is organized by the BSR WATER platform, co-hosting the final conference of the Revivng Baltic Resilience project (led by Gdańsk University of Technology).
Day 1: Achievements of the Reviving Baltic Resilience (RBR) project
8.45 – 11.30 CET: The first day of the conference marks the closing stage of RBR, the partner project of BSR WATER. We will hear about the environmental solutions the project has developed over its duration, learn about the smart water management pilots launched in Poland, Sweden and Lithuania, and get familiar with the Green Technologies Cluster.
Day 2: Best practices and solutions from the City of Gdańsk
8.45 – 13.45 CET: The second day will focus on various solutions developed and tested in projects implemented in the City of Gdańsk. The day will first highlight the development of Smart Blue-Green Infrastructure, bringing smart stormwater solutions in presentations and virtual tours. The second part of the day will turn to the solutions addressing emerging pollutants in waters, including hazardous substances, pharmaceuticals, microplastic removal.
