The webinar "Climate change adaptation through smart stormwater management" was organized on 28 April 2020.
The webinar was started by Matthias Barjenbruch from Technical University Berlin talking about modern urban stormwater management. Next we had three cases from different cities: Jes Clauson-Kaas from HOFOR A/S presenting the City of Copenhagen, Kajsa Rosqvist from the City of Helsinki Environment Services talking about Helsinki’s case and Magdalena Gajewska from Gdańsk Technical University introducing Gdansk’s case. All speakers highlighted current trends in the extreme weather events in their cities and provided a wide range of approaches and solutions for launching smart stormwater management, from formulating a strategy through single efficient solutions and to comprehensive systems.
