Janne Rinne
I started working at the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission in August 2015. My projects deal with sustainable urban planning and smart e-mobility. Before UBC I worked in Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) for seven years. My educational background is in ecology and environmental sciences, but I have mainly worked with in the field of environmental policy, both doing research and conducting expert assignments. I am interested in the ways environmental information and knowledge can be included in the planning and decision making processes. I am very proud to join the international team of UBC and to do my part in enhancing urban sustainability in Baltic Sea region.

Ralph de Jong
I joined UBC in June 2015 and am currently responsible for the project dissemination activities of CIVITAS DYN@MO and project development. I am an Engineer in Urban Planning and Logistics and have approximately ten years of work experience as a project manager and consultant in USA, Finland and The Netherlands. I have comprehensive general knowledge of most of the specific fields within traffic and transportation, my main field of expertise being project coordination and dissemination of sustainable mobility and behavioural change concepts.

Laura Sarlin
I started as a graphic designer at UBC in August 2015, working with different project publicatins as well as general UBC SCC communications. Previously I have worked as a graphic designer at VALONIA where I got to know topics such as sustainable development, energy saving and sustainable mobility. That knowledge is a good ground for UBC projects as well. I have studied graphic designing, advertising and marketing at Turku University of Applied Sciences in 2009–2012.
