We are currently living in exciting times: several funding programmes have open calls and UBC SCC is involved in numerous applications, trying to receive funding for our member cities to implement different sustainability measures during the upcoming years and making our cities more competitive, attractive and efficient.
Both regional funding programmes, the Central Baltic Programme and the Baltic Sea Region Programme have recently announced the project proposals that will proceed to the second stage.
All proposals we are involved in got accepted and we are now, together with our partners, working hard on the full applications for the second stage deadlines in June and July!
The project proposals vary thematically from waste water and storm water management, urban planning to sustainable mobility.
Additionally to the regional funding we are involved in several project applications under the Horizon 2020 programme. Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU research and Innovation programme that has ever been launched and includes numerous calls on a variety of topics and is targeted at a wide variety of stakeholders.
The three proposals where we are partner in, deal with sustainable mobility and mobility planning as well as with smart cities and communities
All these project applications will hopefully give us future resources to continue our work with our member cities successfully and disseminate all the results in the Baltic Sea Region to every city´s benefit.
