Baltic Urban Lab - Central Baltic 2015-2020 project that has been led by our Commission, will be sharing the final project results during their Final Conference "Dealing with the Past and Planning for the Future - Turning urban brownfields into possibilities" on 6-7 September 2018 in the Spikeri Concert Hall in Riga, Latvia.

The Final Conference will bring you inspiring keynotes from visiting experts as well presentations and panel discussions from the four Baltic Sea Region cities - Tallinn, Riga, Turku and Norrköping (3 of them belonging to the Union of the Baltic Cities) -  to enable an exchange of experiences - what worked, what did not work, how to establish a connection with the stakeholders and how to work in an integrated manner in city organisation.  During the second day, you will get a chance to explore three brownfield sites in Riga and hear their stories.

Check out the Agenda and register before 22 August 2018 here: https://bit.ly/2toAnh9

We would like to invite UBC cities to take this chance to come and discuss with colleagues and peers about the issues and possible solutions regarding brownfield redevelopment - since every city has these murky areas that could become transformed into lively neighbourhoods.

Note that participation at the Final Conference is free of charge and that the event will be held in English!
