The cities.multimodal city partners are testing different kind of measures for increasing multimodality and for changing mobility behavior in their pilot areas.

The first year of preparation has passed and the cities are moving on to the implementation stage: some cities are building and improving multimodal mobility points, e.g.  bicycle parking in connection to a railway station  or transport hub, others are planning mobility management measures with schools, kindergartens and companies. The common aim is to create an environment and test measures combined with campaigns and awareness raising events to make the citizens leave their individual car at home and use different modes of mobility instead.

Recently, the project consortium visited Copenhagen and Malmö for a study visit to learn from their great experience in involving citizens in mobility planning. Filled with new inspiration, the cities are now continuing their work in the project.
