Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to take part in the mid-term evaluation survey of the UBC Sustainability Action Programme 2030 (UBC SAP 2030).

UBC SAP 2030 is our guiding framework for advancing sustainable development in our UBC member cities, which many of you were co-developing with us. Adopted in 2021, it sets a common direction for creating inclusive, green, and resilient cities that strive to become frontrunners in climate and sustainability work.

Now, as we reach the midpoint of its implementation, it is the right time to reflect on our progress and look ahead. Your feedback is invaluable in shaping the next steps of our joint journey. By taking part in this survey, you will:

  • help us design new projects and identify funding opportunities tailored to the needs of your city,
  • guide the development of trainings and capacity-building initiatives,
  • strengthen good practice exchange and gain expertise through stronger peer-learning and collaboration programs across the UBC network.

The survey consists of five main sections, each focusing on a theme of the SAP Programme (water, mobility, energy, resource-efficiency and biodiversity), with 4–5 questions per section. We kindly ask you to answer the questions relevant to your field of expertise and submit your responses by 24 October 2025. We will also use your responses as a basis for furter elaboration and discussion at the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission meeting and the UBC General Conference.

Please note that one city can submit multiple responses, so feel free to share the survey link with relevant experts in your city.

Thank you very much for your valuable contribution to shaping the future of UBC’s sustainability work.

With best regards,
Agnieszka Ilola
