Does your city have developed criteria in the public procurements considering chemical, circular and climate aspects? Your experiences are important: share your knowledge to help develop guidelines on procurement!

Transnational project ChemClimCircle is currently developing guidelines on procurement, and we launch a call for support!

The project is looking for experiences of municipalities developing and setting criteria in the public procurements considering chemical, circular and climate aspects. For example, these procurements may be focused on:

  1. Eliminating hazardous substances in the materials (especially in plastic) while enhancing circularity at the same time;
  2. Enhancing circularity (for example, in washing and cleaning services) and taking care of washing and cleaning chemicals at the same time;
  3. Enhancing climate objectives by insulation but also making sure that the insulation products used do not contain hazardous chemicals.

Does you city have experiences in this area? Share them by 20 October 2023 to support the development of clearer procurement processes opening the possibility of a circular future. The process is easy: notify the Ecodesign Competence Centre in Latvia about your interest by email below, and Nameda Belmane, who is coordinating the preparation of the guidelines, will guide you from there!
