The cities play an important role in the successful implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our webinar on 22 September 2020 explored how to get started with the Voluntary Local Review (VLR) process, presented advice from the European Commission and shared experiences.
The webinar started with a presentation about Voluntary Local Review movement in the City of Helsinki by Laura Uuttu-Deschryvere. Alice Siragusa from European Commission Joint Research Center continued talking about The European Handbook for SDG Voluntary Local Reviews. Next, Annika Dalén from the City of Umeå presented about SDG work and National Level Reporting in Umeå. The webinar ended with a presentation from Anna Bertoft from the City of Turku talking about First Voluntary Local Review in Turku.
