Webinar: Multimodality made visible – Mobility Points in Baltic Sea Region cities

How can we transform our urban areas from car-dominated spaces to spaces for people? Can we support changes to the way that people travel in cities through the provision of multimodal infrastructure and options? And how can we together with our residents, create a city space for all?

These were the leading questions for the cities.multimodal projects (INTERREG BSR Programme 2017-2021), including 10 cities around the Baltic Sea as well as numerous expert partners. To present the results and outcomes from the project, cities.multimodal is launching the "CHANGE YOUR WAY(S) - Towards liveable cities in the Baltic Sea Region" webinar series.

The fourth webinar session "Multimodality made visible – Mobility Points in Baltic Sea Region cities" will take place on 10 March 9:30-11:00 CET. In this webinar we will present one of the tangible outcomes of the cities.multimodal project, the mobility points! A mobility point is a spot collecting different mobility modes in one location, it combines at least two sustainable mobility modes which increases the acessibility, visibility and connectivity of mobility. Dr. Kristina Gaučė will give a presentation about the concept of mobility points and the role they are playing in cities.multimodal. Then Lisa Wiechmann from the City of Rostock, Aušra Sičiūnienė from the City of Vilnius and Nika Kotoviča from the Riga Energy Agency will take the floor and present their cities' mobility points. The final speaker is Michael Abraham from TUB, he will talk about the learnings of the mobility point implementations in the project.

The registration is already open, more information will follow.
