Tools
The UBC Sustainable Cities Commission, together with various project partners, has developed a wide range of practical toolkits to support cities in advancing sustainability and resilience across the Baltic Sea Region. These tools address diverse urban challenges, from mobility and water management to planning and governance.
For example, Transport and Active Mobility (AM) in port areas is currently a crucial issue that city administrations must tackle collaboratively with Port Authorities to ensure efficient and sustainable transport systems. The Baltic Smart Water Hub provides a platform for water sector professionals to share knowledge, experiences, and innovative solutions, while the SUMP Self-Assessment tool offers valuable support for local authorities at the beginning of their Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) process. Together, these and many other resources help cities move toward smarter, greener, and more inclusive urban development.
