We assist local authorities in the Baltic Sea Region in initiating, applying and managing projects on different sustainability topics. The themes and actions are tailor-made based on the needs of the project partners from local authorities to assist the ongoing processes towards sustainable development. cities.multimodal – urban transport system in transition towards low carbon mobility
The project wants to make it easier for people in cities around the Baltic Sea to combine walking, cycling, public transport and car-sharing as an environmentally friendly alternative to using private cars.
The cooperation between cities, NGOs and expert partners aims at developing and applying a low-threshold approach for environmentally friendly urban mobility, attractive and easy to adopt for follower cities. The project focuses on dense inner-city areas, offering good opportunities for sustainable mobility
BSR IWAMA Seed project
Interactive WAter MAnagement
Developing a main project concept that would address the main means of supporting municipal WWTPs in reaching lower nutrient loading in discharges: structured lifelong learning, more resource-efficient operation and improved municipal sludge management.

MATRUSCHKA
Integrated Management System for Russian cities
MATRUSCHKA aimed at strengthening the capacity of local authorities and developing their city planning process. It contributed to the development of a solid foundation within local authorities upon which long-term planning decisions could be made to support sustainable development. Both EU and Russian cities either initiated or further elaborated their Integrated Management Systems around a chosen theme.
