We assist local authorities in the Baltic Sea Region in initiating, applying and managing projects on different sustainability topics. The themes and actions are tailor-made based on the needs of the project partners from local authorities to assist the ongoing processes towards sustainable development. EMPEREST
Eliminating Micro-Pollutants from Effluents for Reuse Strategies

The EMPEREST project supports local authorities, service providers and policy-making community by strengthening the sustainable water management cycle. The holistic approach to the elimination of PFAS and other persistent organic pollutants incorporates regional strategies for monitoring and assessment, technological advances in wastewater treatment, risk management assessment for cities, and training materials for water experts.

IWAMA
Interactive Water Management

IWAMA project’s approach to improving resource efficiency in wastewater management in the Baltic Sea Region concentrated on capacity development of the WWT operators and implementation of the pilot investments which result in reduced nutrient inflows to the Baltic Sea. IWAMA application was a main outcome of the BSR IWAMA Seed project work, successfully submitted for funding from the Baltic Sea Region Interreg Programme 2014-2020.
