The beginning of November in Sweden will be lightened by the major annual event for the EU in the Baltic Sea Region: the 7th Strategy Forum of the EUSBSR held at the Brewery Conference Centre in Stockholm. The Conference’s programme is tight to fit dozens of events into two days (8-9 November 2016).

The programme of the Forum can be found here. The aim of the Strategy Forum (previously known as Annual Forum) is to support the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) via attracting key stakeholders and active partners to implement the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region.

The agenda of both meeting days involves parallel workshops, from which participants can choose most relevant topics. Seminars will start already on the first day straight after the registration and continue throughout the whole Conference. Moreover, the event’s programme includes two Inspiration Sessions: one for each day. While seminars and workshops will develop on particular fields, such as navigation, water management, digitalization of the region or youth matters, the Inspiration Sessions will tackle the questions of the Baltic Sea Region in the global context of the EU integration, and the UN sustainability goals. The representatives of the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission will participate in the seminars to introduce the experience of its member cities.

The information discussed on seminars and sessions can be further addressed in the Creative Lounge – a special place for networking and sharing new ideas in the well-known environment. Logistically, this will also be a place to find some coffee anytime throughout these two busy days.

The slogan of the Conference is One region – one future. The UBC Sustainable Cities Commission is open for collaboration. We are looking forward to meeting and networking with our partners to shape the future of our region.
