Online workshop: Municipal climate adaptation in the Baltic Sea Region

Online workshop: Municipal climate adaptation in the Baltic Sea Region

Flood protection in a city

Municipalities across the Baltic Sea Region are warmly invited to join an online workshop focused on strengthening municipal climate adaptation on 19 May 2026!

ClimaResponse survey shows that 96% cities experienced extreme weather events in the past 10 years.

Is your municipality working on climate adaptation and looking to exchange experience with peers across the Baltic Sea Region? We would like to invite you to a small, practical online workshop on 19 May 2026 at 9:00-12:00 CEST.

What will be discussed

This workshop is part of the work in the ClimaResponse project, focused on building municipal climate resilience. The workshop will include:

  • Results from a regional survey on how BSR municipalities currently work with climate adaptation
  • Peer discussion on the challenges you and others face in this work
  • Introduction to a digital planning platform for climate adaptation currently under development
  • Focused conversation on how the platform can address those challenges

This is not a lecture - it is a working session where participants have genuine influence over what gets prioritised and how the platform is designed. You will also connect with colleagues from across the region facing similar challenges.

Who should attend

Municipal planners, climate officers, and others with responsibility for climate adaptation and resilience in Baltic Sea Region municipalities.
