Our news
How can cities strengthen resilience and preparedness in the face of increasing climate risks? In Jyväskylä, Finland, this question is being addressed through the project combining data, planning and collaboration to turn climate knowledge into practical action.
The autumn–winter edition of the “I Walk to School/Kindergarten” campaign in Gdynia reached thousands of families and strengthened the belief that alternatives to travelling by car are common and natural.

Turku
European security, economy, and democracy are undergoing major changes – and these are directly reflected in the people’s everyday lives, for example in energy prices, changes to working life, and the sense of security. These issues will be explored at the ninth Europe Forum in Turku on 26–28 August 2026.
UBC TALKS - Webinars about sustainability topics in the Baltic Sea Region
UBC TALKS is a series of webinars launched by the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission to discuss various sustainability topics in the Baltic Sea Region.
Regularly organized since January 2020, the webinars traditionally take place on the last Tuesday of the month, 9.30–11.00 CET.
