NORWIDA 2017 – Nordic Waste Water Conference

NORDIWA, the Nordic Waste Water Conference is organized in Aarhus, Denmark on 10–12 October 2017.

The Conference is the leading Nordic event for water professionals – experts and practitioners, managers and operators: utility staff, city planners, researchers, engineers, advisors and others with an interest in wastewater management and climate change adaptation in the Nordic region. Special focus this year is on wastewater management in the Baltic Sea Region.

Several topics are introduced for the programme of the conference. Among them, new approaches to wastewater treatment, integrated approach to the sewage system, adaptation to consequences of a changing climate, and other. The event will also include workshops, technical tours and side events. Check the full programme of the event.

The event will start with presentations of challenges, solutions and actions. During the opening session, UBC Sustainable Cities Commission will introduce their approach in the presentation "Cooperation to improve water management in the whole Baltic Sea region". During the conference, one of UBC SCC projects will be presented. IWAMA and its key activities are introduced in two sessions: "Future WWTP" on 10 October 14.00–15.20 and the session "Baltic Sea (WS) - Challenges and Experiences" at 16.00–17.30.
