Project description
The LVRLAC cooperation project aimed at transferring knowledge between the UBC and LVRLAC. The long term goal was to promote sustainable development and improve the standard of living of the inhabitants in the Lake Victoria Region through improving the administrative and institutional capacities of the local authorities. In order to create a long-term effect, the project took into consideration local needs and conditions and applied a step-by-step approach.
Activities
Creation of a functioning Secretariat and working methods and building the LVRLAC Women’s Network and establishing Environmental Pedagogic Centres in the region.
