News from the UBC SCC Secretariat - new projects!

After a busy spring and summer with a lot of project applications we enter this autumn with excitement:
Just last week we received the approval for two project proposals for funding under the Central Baltic Programme!

Already this autumn we´ll start to work with “Baltic Urban Lab-Integrated Planning and Partnership model for Brownfield regeneration” (as a lead partner) and “iWater – Integrated Storm Water management” ( as work package leader for capacity building and dissemination, lead partner is the city of Riga)!

You will soon find more information on our website!

Also two of the Horizon 2020 proposals that we are involved in were accepted to the second stage and we are currently preparing the full application with our European partners:

ECCENTRIC is a project under the CIVITAS initiative and involves the cities of Stockholm, Turku, Madrid, München and Ruse. Also UBC SCC is a partner for networking and dissemination.

SUMPs-UP is a project together with the main city networks in Europe (ICLEI, EUROCITIES, POLIS) and other partners to enhance and strengthen the take up of sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPs) all over Europe and provide cities support in proceeding in their process.

And then we still have some excitement ahead: in the end of November we will know about our applications for the Baltic Sea Region Programme and the last Horizon 2020 application!

We´ll let you know about these in the next edition of the eBulletin!
