The Covenant of Mayors Office, Klimatkommunerna, UBC Sustainable Cities Commission and the Nordic Covenant of Mayors working group organize a very interesting workshop for Nordic signatories of the Covenant of Mayors in Växjö, Sweden!

The workshop will include some practical examples of climate and energy related activities in cities as well as news from the COMO in Brussels about the initiative. The main part will be a practical workshop on “how to make local politicians to put climate and energy on the agenda”

The aim of the event is to get inspiration from colleagues in other ordic communities when it comes to communication with municipal politicians. How to increase ownership, how to improve communication and how can we encourage the interest of municipal politicians when it comes to climate and energy issues?

This workshop is the second of its kind:  the overall objective is to strengthen the network among Nordic Covenant Signatories as well as discuss and display the opportunities and benefits COM has in a specific Nordic Context, which is often different from elsewhere in Europe.
