SUMPs-Up project offers support for preparation of SUMPs

SUMPs-Up is a European cooperation project offering a series of learning activities that will equip city planning authorities and mobility practitioners with skills and knowledge that they need to develop and implement SUMPs (Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan).

The first SUMP Learning programme was kicked-off this Autumn involving a group of local authorities interested in learning more from SUMPs and exchanging experiences with colleagues from different European cities and regions.

The next SUMPs-Up Innovation Pilot Pool call will be launched in the spring 2018 offering also UBC cities a great possibility to apply, receive funding, learn more from SUMPs through webinars, e-learning and face-to-face workshops. UBC Sustainable Cities Commission coordinates the learning and training activities in the project.

In addition, the project offers European cities a variety of different training and capacity building activities on SUMP development and implementation.  UBC and SUMPs-Up will organize in cooperation with the city of Tampere a workshop dedicated for Baltic Sea region cities to support exchange on different SUMP approaches in our region. The workshop will take place in mid March 2018.
