The CIVITAS DYN@MO has published two brochures focusing on clean vehicles and participation 2.0. The brochures are the two first ones of a series of four brochures that will focus each on one specific topic.

The first brochure “Converting regular buses to clean buses – Experiences from the DYN@MO cities” shares DYN@MO cities’ practical experiences and knowledge gained in the conversion processes – from a hybrid to an electric bus in Aachen, from a diesel bus to a trolleybus in Gdynia and from a diesel bus to an electric bus in Koprivnica. The DYN@MO cities of Aachen, Gdynia, Koprivnica and Palma are strongly committed to making their public transport cleaner and to enhance the environmental performance and energy efficiency of their fleets. Within the framework of CIVITAS DYN@MO, the cities are testing and deploying different types of clean, innovative technologies.

The involvement and participation of citizens and stakeholders in the sustainable urban mobility planning process is necessary in order to obtain public legitimacy and create a plan that satisfies the mobility needs of people. With the adoption of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), citizen participation methods have started to shift more towards online environments.

ICT based modern communication tools play an important role in cities’ activities within the DYN@MO project. The four cities Aachen (Germany), Gdynia (Poland), Koprivnica (Croatia) and Palma (Spain) test and implement new participation 2.0 methods, referred to as mobility 2.0 tools within the framework of the DYN@MO project, to support the preparation and implementation of their Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs).

The second brochure “Participation 2.0 in the Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning process - Experiences from the CIVITAS DYN@NO cities” shares cities’ practical experiences on implementing these tools.
