The global city of Milan welcomes everyone for the annual conference that will take place on 16-18 November 2016. Milan is a world leader in economic development and it is recognized as a sharing city – i.e. the city that develops the sharing economy. Milan will host the EUROCITIES conference to discuss the application of this modern economic model in Europe to enhance the competitiveness of the cities.
The agenda of the conference includes a series of sessions. The format of roundtables will introduce topical themes formulated to find a balance between the economy and other factors influencing city development. Among them, legislative frameworks, new business models, quality jobs and skills and alternative approaches to welfare will be discussed.
Study visits organized during the conference will provide the participants with practical information concerning the modern approach to space in business. The initiatives of co-working spaces, incubators and accelerators will be introduced under the umbrella of sharing hubs with the examples from various districts in Milan.
