We have the technology, we have the knowledge. What we need now is an innovative, visionary and multidisciplinary leadership!

Be part of the Baltic Sea Future Congress in Stockholm, Sweden on 6 – 7 March 2017 and make your voice heard among hundreds of international guests. The Congress brings together mayors, leading civil servants, researchers, business and agency leaders in the Baltic Sea Region to promote and share knowledge, tools and best practices, to find motivation and inspiration in successful experiences and innovative solutions. We think your city should become a part of it!

Opportunity for action-oriented municipalities to meet

Baltic Sea Future will address the challenges in the Baltic Sea Region, focusing on the key role of municipalities. The Baltic Sea is loved, needed and polluted, and municipalities are the hubs that can coordinate interests, engage local citizens, turn scientific results into action, and handle the challenges to create a sustainable future for the Baltic Sea. In addition, for municipality mayors, a healthy Baltic Sea is a prerequisite to reach the UN Agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The program includes several UBC related sessions, such as Achieving Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals in the Baltic Sea context, the importance of innovative and visionary leadership, measures for safeguard access to clean water, among others.

Inauguration and welcome speech will be delivered by Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria, UN appointed Sustainable Development Goals Advocate.
